Holy Qur’an Prophesied by Isaiah

“The entire vision will be to you like the words of a sealed book, which when they give it to the one who is literate, saying, “Please read this,” he will say, “I cannot, for it is sealed.”
Then the book will be given to the one who is illiterate, saying, “Please read this.” And he will say, “I cannot read.”
Then the Lord said,
“Because this people draw near with their words
And honor Me with their lip service,
But they remove their hearts far from Me,
And their reverence for Me consists of tradition learned by rote,
Therefore behold, I will once again deal marvelously with this people, wondrously marvelous;
And the wisdom of their wise men will perish,
And the discernment of their discerning men will be concealed.”
Woe to those who deeply hide their plans from the LORD,
And whose deeds are done in a dark place,
And they say, “Who sees us?” or “Who knows us?”
You turn things around!
Shall the potter be considered as equal with the clay,
That what is made would say to its maker, “He did not make me”;
Or what is formed say to him who formed it, “He has no understanding”?
Is it not yet just a little while
Before Lebanon will be turned into a fertile field,
And the fertile field will be considered as a forest?
On that day the deaf will hear words of a book,
And out of their gloom and darkness the eyes of the blind will see.”

Then the book will be given to the one who is illiterate, saying, “Please read this.” And he will say, “I cannot read.”, the sealed Book is the Holy Qur’an which was sealed until God revealed the revelation to His Beloved, the Prophet Muhammad. Muhammad was recorded as being illiterate, and his first revelation from God was Surah Al’Alaq, which begins;

“Read in the name of your Lord Who created. He created man from a clot. Read and your Lord is Most Honorable, Who taught (to write) with the pen, taught man what he knew not.”

Through the revelation of the Holy Qur’an, the spiritually blind Arabs – a people who hadn’t received revelation since the time of Abraham and Ishmael – became divinely inspired. As the Muslims spread God’s message far and wide, they brought people together, got people to aim for higher goals and achieved great things. Mathematics, science, technology, medicine, literature and philosophy all prospered under Islam. Europe further developed these disciplines after learning them from the Muslims, these were what brought Europe out of the Dark Ages and into the Renaissance.

“Behold, My Servant, whom I uphold;
My chosen one in whom My soul delights
I have put My Spirit upon Him;
He will bring forth justice to the nations.
“He will not cry out or raise His voice,
Nor make His voice heard in the street.
“A bruised reed He will not break
And a dimly burning wick He will not extinguish;
He will faithfully bring forth justice.
“He will not be disheartened or crushed
Until He has established justice in the earth;
And the coastlands will wait expectantly for His law.”
Thus says God the LORD,
Who created the heavens and stretched them out,
Who spread out the earth and its offspring,
Who gives breath to the people on it
And spirit to those who walk in it,
“I am the LORD, I have called You in righteousness,
I will also hold You by the hand and watch over You,
And I will appoint You as a covenant to the people,
As a light to the nations,
To open blind eyes,
To bring out prisoners from the dungeon
And those who dwell in darkness from the prison.
“I am the LORD, that is My name;
I will not give My glory to another,
Nor My praise to graven images.
“Behold, the former things have come to pass,
Now I declare new things;
Before they spring forth I proclaim them to you.”
Sing to the LORD a new song,
Sing His praise from the end of the earth!
You who go down to the sea, and all that is in it
You islands, and those who dwell on them.
Let the wilderness and its cities lift up their voices,
The settlements where Kedar inhabits
Let the inhabitants of Sela sing aloud,
Let them shout for joy from the tops of the mountains.
Let them give glory to the LORD
And declare His praise in the coastlands.
The LORD will go forth like a warrior,
He will arouse His zeal like a man of war
He will utter a shout, yes, He will raise a war cry
He will prevail against His enemies.”

Christians may see this as a prophesy of Jesus Christ. However, there are some points in these verses, which make me wonder if this is instead prophesy of the Prophet Muhammad. “He will faithfully bring forth justice. He will not be disheartened or crushed until He has established justice in the earth”. Muhammad cared a great deal about the injustices prevalent in his society, and brought many of them to an end during his lifetime.

• He ended the murder of baby girls who used to be killed simply because they were born female.
• He brought an end to slavery which was rampant in pre-Islamic Arabia.
• He brought an end to the constant futile inter tribe warfare that had torn apart Arabian society.
• He brought in the Zakat (Alms-giving) system. The rich paid Zakat into a community fund that was redistributed amongst the impoverished.
• He brought in a legal system that valued evidence and truth. These courts were known to be fair and exercised real justice.

“…a light to the nations, to open blind eyes, to bring out prisoners from the dungeon and those who dwell in darkness from the prison.” One of the most inspiring qualities of Prophet Muhammad is his ‘nur’ or spiritual light. Bringing people out of the dungeon and darkness, means to enlighten them. Enlightenment is important in Islam, and the central goal of Sufism.

“Behold, the former things have come to pass, now I declare new things; Before they spring forth I proclaim them to you. Sing to the LORD a new song, Sing His praise from the end of the earth!” Jews and Christians recite or sing the verses of the Holy Bible, and especially the Psalms. The New Song described here is the Holy Qur’an – “Qur’an” actually means recitation, and is indeed beautiful and sounds musical when recited correctly in its native Arabic… Today, this “New Song” is recited all over the world by Muslims of every nation.

“Let the wilderness and its cities lift up their voices, the settlements where Kedar inhabits. Let the inhabitants of Sela sing aloud, let them shout for joy from the tops of the mountains. Let them give glory to the LORD”. The people of Israel looked upon Arabia as the wilderness. This is proven by the mention of Kedar. Kedar was one of the sons of Ishmael (Genesis 25:13), the settlements of Kedar refers to his descendants the Arabs. Here Prophet Isaiah says “Let them give glory to the LORD”. The Arabs were for centuries pagans, so this prophesy predicts a time when they will give praise to the God of Israel, the One True God. Isaiah foresaw Islam, and our Prophet Muhammad. Since the 7th Century AD, the Arabs and other Muslims have given praises and glory to Almighty God and shunned all forms of idolatry…
